About Me
I never really saw myself as a typical student when it came to the academic domain. But I’ve always been a curious learner. I spent my first years of adulthood focusing on my professional experiences, mostly in a customer-facing retail setting. It was here that I was first exposed to design; working alongside customers in furnishing in their homes. After awhile I decided that I needed a big lifestyle change, and being a keen traveler, I decided to broaden my perspective abroad, through a series of long-term backpacking trips and working holidays overseas. These experiences really fostered my worldview, built upon my knowledge of different cultures, and created unforgettable life experiences.
Upon commencing my studies, I knew that I wanted to do something that could create a positive impact for people. I started out studying general IT, before pivoting to IT Digital Design, leading me to UniSQ's Bachelor of Design and Interactive Techologies. I finished my studies whilst continuing to work professionally, as well as traveling, and now I’m ready to take the next steps in my career. My goal has remained the same throughout; to create a positive contribution to society through technology, and I hope to achieve this in the field of human-centered design, whether it be in entertainment, UI/UX, or Digital Media.
My skills include Web Design and Development, Application Design, Game Design, Graphics and Illustration, UI/UX, Digital Animation, and 3D Modeling.
I am proficient with an array of industry-standard design software packages: Canva, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Substance Painter, Adobe Premiere, Unreal Engine, Blender, and Autodesk Maya, being a few. And I’m always keen to learn more!
I am also capable with the Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript programming languages.
